2017 Grand Award Winner in the Storm Water Category

Integrated Engineering was selected as the 2017 Grand Award Winner in the Storm Water Category by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kentucky for their $9 million dollar Water Street Project for the City of Richmond, KY.

Integrated Engineering Receives 2016 APWA Recreational Award for our Bondurant Connectivity Multi-Use Trail Project in Frankfort, KY.

Integrated Engineering recently assisted the City of Frankfort with the coordination, planning, civil engineering, surveying, and construction administration associated with the construction of approximately 1600 linear feet of a shared use trail with the Western Hills High, Bondurant Middle, and Bridgeport Elementary School Campuses to provide connectivity between them.

Integrated Engineering, PLLC announces that Owen Yan Zhu has joined their Lexington Office as Water Resources Engineer

Integrated Engineering, PLLC announces that Owen Yan Zhu, Project Engineer has joined their Lexington, Kentucky Office as their new Water Resources Engineer. In this role he will be involved with providing necessary support in hydrology and hydraulics for projects involving both public and private work. Owen has been working for 3 years in multiple water resources positions in both the state of Kentucky and Wisconsin. He worked as a research Assistant in Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Coastal Sustainability Lab while obtaining his masters degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2015. He has also worked for The Nature Conservancy in making improvements to water quality by implementing new conservation practices and looking at ways to reduce phosphorus in runoff. In his free time he enjoys volunteering to teach others about environmental education and the importance of water quality. Owen holds a bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Minor in Engineering management from Nanjing Tech University in China and a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Commerce Lexington names Integrated Engineering as Small Business of the Year

Integrated Engineering was recently named Small Business of the Year at the Commerce Lexington 2015 Salute to Small Business Luncheon. As the recipient of Commerce Lexington’s 2015 Minority Business Award, Integrated Engineering was chosen among six different category winners as the overall Small Business of the Year. Integrated Engineering will now have the opportunity to be considered for state and national recognition through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Integrated Engineering now offers 3-D Laser Scanning

3D laser scanning is a highly accurate and efficient measurement technique that uses a safe laser to rapidly capture existing dimensions, shapes, and contours of a surrounding facility, structure, or surface topography. These measurements are compiled to create a three dimensional model that thoroughly captures intricate details of existing buildings, site infrastructure, and topography. In the same amount of time that it would take to measure major components of a typical building or site infrastructure (i.e. columns, walls, doors, bridges, etc.) by traditional methods (pencil, paper, and tape measure), 3-D laser scanning will record measurements of all of those entities and prepare a seamless 3-D model to be utilized for planning and design purposes. In a nutshell the 3-D laser scanner will precisely model everything visible to the eye.
